January 29, 2023 Melanie Hawken

Dirce Vicente, founder, Fly Eagles LDA (Mozambique)

Startup Story

Fly Eagles LDA is a digital magazine publishing venture, founded by experienced agripreneur, Dirce Vicente in Mozambique. Passionate about Agriculture, she has already developed many solutions to improve the agricultural ecosystem in Mozambique. Dirce is the founder of Dfruit, Agri impact, and is currently letting her passion emerge with the launch of an agribusiness magazine called Fly Eagles Agribusiness. The magazine aims to provide the reader with unique experiences, inspiring them to reach their purpose and unlock their maximum potential. It shares stories of overcoming and persistence in Agriculture from people who are making it happen, and excelling in this field.

Lionesses of Africa spoke to Dirce Vicente about her passion for agribusiness and her new magazine venture which hopes to help others on their own agri journeys.

When did you start your business?

The Fly Eagles Agribusiness magazine has been developed through experiences in the Agribusiness branch of 7 years. On this path I have come across several obstacles and I have remained firm until today. But I am in love with people who have achieved the same, survived and achieved feats, even in a business environment that is unfavorable for agricultural practice. Giving visibility to these stories fills me with strength and makes me believe in a better Mozambique, in a better ecosystem.

“Fly Eagles magazine tells the stories of true eagles, which with each challenge, renew themselves and remain firm in agribusiness.”

What does your company do?

Fly Eagles magazine tells the stories of true eagles, which with each challenge, renew themselves and remain firm in agribusiness. Giving positive indicators that it is possible to have good results in this sector, we also bring expert advice on how you can join the community in the direction of economic development through agribusiness and the adoption of smart technologies and techniques.

What inspired you to start your company?

What inspired me to create the company is the fact that I had developed solutions in the field of Agribusiness, motivated by my grandmother, a small farmer, who did everything to support her family, with the fruit of her production. Having seen the difficulties she has had for many years inspires me to drive positive change in this area.

Why should anyone use your service or product?

What makes the magazine unique is the passion we have for Agriculture.
