The Remote Era and New Partnerships

The COVID-19 driven economy has brought major challenges to many industrial firms and business owners. Now makes it the perfect time to re-evaluate what really creates value, what is critical to clients at this moment, and what would those new offerings and capabilities look like after all.

The need to make a deep revision about the goals for future business perspectives to understand the path, progression, scale, and vision boards of the company’s growth, has been of concern to many during this pandemic. The social distancing recommendations have promoted a new remote framework of doing business, where many are being forced to search for a remote support system and services that can be delivered from anywhere.

It’s clear that the leading businesses aren’t just adapting to the shift of customers’ needs and the actual market conditions. Many are proactively shaping the demand and market to match the company’s strengths, innovations and updated business models by using new technology and partnerships to broaden offerings and activities. The outsourcing, partners and freelancers create more flexible virtual workplaces and build an ability to quickly scale up and reduce waste and resources.

Although a closer look, and the necessary precautions, should be taken to ensure remote delivery of quality and trust. There is, for sure, a wide range of remote services that could be delivered from anywhere in the world resulting in the reduction of travelling and crowded places. This is because the delivery can be done without physical interactions, and local service providers for spare part deliveries would be an ideal choice.

When building a partnership in this remote era, just be aware and prepared, because one might have less control over the customers. As a result, external dependency could increase since the partner closer to the customers could take a big share of the value created to clients. Also, it is harder to onboard and commit the team to work, besides the fact that the levels of vulnerability, costs and technology risks are relatively higher than when using staff on payroll. But if you choose to focus on the core business, this is an opportunity to deliver broader service offerings. And since the tasks have been correspondently distributed, there is potentially a better ability to solve customers’ problems quicker and design free delivery models or automate delivery to beat the  competition  - it could be the road to take.
