Hustling And Maintaining a Full Time Job

The type of economies we live under have made it almost impossible to leave a full time job and start a business thereafter. It is easier when one has a stable income or savings, otherwise one has to “hustle” and work full time to establish a start-up. So, how does one hustle and remain focused on full time employment?

One may argue that this is not possible as serving two masters at once is disastrous, however all that is needed is focusing on the required end result and determination. Having a side hustle and trying to manage a full time job will mean a lot of hours invested in work only. It is advisable to then pursue what one is most passionate about so that it is easier to manage and not be exhausted.

So how do you start? Here are a few tips to get you thinking.

Start with doing more than your day job!

In most economies most people have engaged in hustling or having a “side hustle" which basically means one may have a day job and resort to other income generating projects, the day job however remains as the number one source of income. Hustling may mean doing whatever is available that brings income, it is not limited to what one has already specialized or gained experience in.  Already one has chosen to venture in a different specialty and field in a bid to get more income.

Offer a Service

Every aspiring entrepreneur/entrepreneur has a skills set that maybe required by many other people. One may hustle in terms of offering a service based on skills set/passion and free time. Some people in teaching establish classes after their day job and gain more income from that. One may only soar in this if they have something they really enjoy to do apart from their full-time job.

Social Media Management

Using social media is a great advantage that enables us to research, advertise on a greater scale. One may also hustle through social media. Social media may be a tool, source and drive to hustling if used effectively and efficiently.

Become A Micro-Entrepreneur

This is a traditional well known way of hustling, one may need to start a small project at home that one can manage during free time and sell products as well. Most people will resort to gardening, selling poultry etc.

Micro-entrepreneurship is a little different than just selling a product or service, it's still side hustling, but it's about being able to do it on your own terms. It gives one power and it is easier to control.

Do what you are passionate about and do it best!

Passion gives us the drive to do anything with full force and reach greater heights. If one is ever in need of ideas on starting a side hustle, they should look deep within themselves and start something that their heart mostly desires!
