How to Make Self-Care a Lifestyle Without Guilt

January 21, 2024 Melanie Hawken

by Lori Milner

Diets don't work because they're temporary; they are a pseudo-commitment. For sustainable change, it's your lifestyle that must change. It's your identity that changes. You start to call yourself a healthy person and then act like healthy people do. More importantly, your mindset shifts from a victim mentality of punishment to an owner mentality of freedom. Ultimately, your way of being changes. It is not one thing you do but a stacking of choices over your day that contributes towards your weight loss goal. It's not just one meal but sleep, water, nutrition, and your emotional world – everything in the periphery done consistently will help you achieve this.

Teams are always your winning hand

January 13, 2024 Melanie Hawken

by Eldari Visser

A couple of months ago we had the privilege to go to the Kruger National Park in South Africa and we spent five days in glorious nature. Wow ,that was really a time of rest and we saw amazing sightings. I always get great ideas for my blog that directly correlate with our business life. Nature once again did not disappoint! Nature’s stories are so closely linked to our business world. I really think we could all just listen to her more. We can apply the lessons of nature and animal behaviour in business successfully. Returnships are a smart way to hire female tech skills

January 13, 2024 Melanie Hawken

by Phillipa Geard

In the dynamic landscape of today's workforce, career trajectories are no longer linear. Often, women step away from their careers to raise children, and when the children are of school-going age, these women wish to resume their careers without starting at the bottom and working their way back to their mid-to-senior levels. Returnships are short, paid internships for professionals who have been away from work for some time and are now ready to return to mid-to-senior level positions. Women with skills can start over in their careers by choosing a returnship with a company that knows how valuable work experience is, especially in the tech industry. Returnships enable women to swiftly reenter the workforce, brush up on their skills, and get the required mentoring while resuming their management roles. A few businesses that are effectively using returnships to reintroduce tech skills into the workforce are IBM, Deloitte, and Paypal.

If you resonate with any of these points and can only allow in the big achievements, here are some reasons why you should reconsider:
